- Pre-use Recommendations: The clippers are designed for smaller, more delicate trimming tasks, like paws, face, etc. It is recommended to slightly wet the fur before trimming, especially for thick or long coats, as this can prevent the fur from getting pushed aside and will make the cutting process smoother. For very thick or long fur, it’s advised to first use scissors to trim and brush through the fur, as this will help improve the efficiency of the clippers during the trimming process.
- INDICATOR LIGHT GUIDE - KNOW WHEN IT IS ACTUALLY CHARGED: The panel on the body has three icons, top to bottom. BLUE (top) = the motor is running, the trimmer is switched on. GREEN (middle) = the battery is FULLY charged and you can unplug it. RED (bottom) = the trimmer is still charging. A FLASHING RED light during use means the battery is low and needs recharging. IMPORTANT: a full charge takes about 2 hours. If you unplug while the red light is still on, the battery is not full and your runtime will be far shorter than the 90 minutes a full charge provides. Always wait for the GREEN light before your first use.
- WHAT THIS TRIMMER IS - AND IS NOT: This is a MICRO precision trimmer with a 0.7in narrow blade, built for small, delicate areas - paws, paw pads, around the eyes, ears, face and rump. It is NOT a full-body clipper and is NOT designed to shave a whole dog or cat, or to cut through thick, long or matted coats. No guide combs or guards are included. For long or thick fur, trim and brush the coat with scissors first, then use this trimmer for the fine detail work. Keep sessions to 15-20 minutes so the motor does not overheat.
