Always dilute, and start with a single drop until you know how you respond. Keep it away from the eyes, inner ears, and other sensitive areas.
- 100% PURE, NO CARRIER OIL: One single ingredient and nothing else, so you choose your own carrier and your own strength. About 1,200 drops per 1 fl oz bottle, which is roughly 600 servings of 2 drops.
- REAL OREGANO, NO SYNTHETIC CARVACROL: Synthetic spiking is common in this market, and synthetic carvacrol is typically made from petroleum. Ours is steam distilled from the real oregano plant using only purified water as the solvent, standardized to 75% natural carvacrol, along with a full spectrum of natural cofactors such as thymol.
- GROWN & EXTRACTED IN SPAIN, NOT CHINA: Origanum vulgare subspecies hirtum, the high-carvacrol wild oregano, grown and distilled in southern Spain by experts who have been making essential oils for generations. Most brands sell commodity oil from China.

- WHAT IS IT USED FOR?: It is traditionally used to support immune defenses and healthy gut flora, and for respiratory and sinus comfort, skin, and nails. Some customers also take it to support the body's normal recovery processes. Many keep a bottle through the winter, for the season when everyone around them is getting sick and they would rather not join in. It is food grade and made for internal use as a dietary supplement, and it is also used topically once diluted, added to a diffuser, or used in the kitchen as a spice. For adults only.
- HOW IS IT USED?: Most people take 1 or 2 drops, not droppersful, up to 4 times a day, with or without food. In water or juice: stir vigorously into a small glass so the oil breaks into thousands of micro-droplets, then drink it. In a capsule: add them to an empty two-piece capsule. In a carrier oil: mix into a teaspoon of olive or coconut oil. On skin: dilute 1 part oil into 2 to 10 parts carrier. On nails: pure drops go straight onto the nail. Many of our customers are long-time oregano oil users who take it daily, year round, no cycling off. For a short course some build up gradually to 10 to 20 drops, sized to body weight, with plenty of water. Never put pure drops under the tongue.
- WHY IS THE OIL SOMETIMES DARKER?: Fresh carvacrol is colorless to pale yellow, so oil from a new bottle looks light. A sealed bottle changes very little for years, because almost no air is inside it. The oil darkens with use: every time the bottle is opened more air gets in, and as the level goes down the air space above it grows. The carvacrol and the other phenols slowly oxidize into deeply colored quinones, including thymoquinone. Those compounds are so intensely colored that oil which looks quite dark has usually lost only 1 to 3% of its carvacrol, so nearly all of the strength and heat remain. Pale oil is fresher oil, not weaker oil.
- WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN OREGANO OIL AND OIL OF OREGANO?: In common usage, oregano oil means the 100% pure essential oil of the plant, which is what is in this bottle. Oil of oregano usually means that same oil already blended into a carrier such as olive oil, to make it gentler and easier to measure. The two terms have no legal definition and are often used interchangeably. Wild oregano means a type of oregano naturally high in carvacrol rather than the culinary kind, and it can be cultivated. Ours is Origanum vulgare subspecies hirtum. We do not call it wildcrafted, because it is not.
- WHAT IS IN THE BOTTLE?: One ingredient: 100% organic oregano oil, distilled from flowering oregano plants. Full spectrum, not an isolate: our certificate of analysis shows 36 oregano constituents, including p-cymene, gamma-terpinene, thymol and linalool alongside the 75% carvacrol. 1 fl oz amber glass with a glass dropper, 3 year shelf life, stored away from heat and light. Some people are told never to swallow an essential oil. That warning is aimed at synthetic and fragrance-grade oils. This is a food grade botanical extract, made for internal use. Not for children, during pregnancy or nursing, or alongside prescription medication without medical advice.
